A lot has happened since I last blogged! … Let’s start with the obvious. Hurricane Flo. Yes, she came. She brought on a lot of destruction to a lot of areas, a lot of anxiety, and quite frankly, she slowed my work flow down significantly with being evacuated and all. She definitely wasn’t in my plans, but she made her way in and we all had to deal.
However, before she came, this sweet family invited me into their home to capture some precious moments of their new addition! I forgot just how much I loved lifestyle sessions, especially with a newborn! I may be a little biased though, being about ready to have one of my own. I’m not going to lie, It allowed me to live vicariously a little while I wait for my little girl to make her debut.
Bentley was the sweetest little guy! He was so cooperative and workable! That’s always a huge bonus with newborns! Plus, once again, I can’t get over that sweet little newborn hair! I’m super envious because I have little hope of our children having any. It’s a touchy subject! Don and I were both baldies! So whenever I get to photograph a baby with hair, I just die a little inside!
And THEN, on top of having one of the cutest little boys, you add their little girl into the mix who just wants to kiss and hug her new little brother and my mommy heart melts! One of my favorite things about this pregnancy, is seeing Everett get excited about his little sister! He’s constantly asking me to let him see her! But letting him look at my belly with my shirt on isn’t enough. No, I have to lift my shirt up over my belly so he can see and touch my belly skin and all. It gets a little tricky when he wants to see her in church hahaha. Really though, I can’t wait for him to meet and interact with her! And these precious moments between little miss Brook and Bentley were heart melting for sure!
I’m so happy for this sweet little family and want to say congratulations on your beautiful new addition! May he sleep through the nights for you, and may the blowouts be as minimal as possible! (;
