I got to have the Riley’s behind my camera again last week and I’m in love with the outcome! Since living here, I have really gotten to know the Riley’s and have come to love every bit of them! Because Faith happens to be the same age as Everett, we get to hang out A LOT; (I wouldn’t have it any other way)! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with Jessica and getting my daily fix of girl time when I’m around her! Unfortunately, all good things eventually come to a close.
Here in the next little while, the Riley’s will be moving to Japan for a couple years and I am devastated! To say I will be losing such a great friend is an understatement! Not only will I be losing out, but Everett will as well!
If you’re a mom, you can understand me when I say it can be difficult making other ‘Mom Friends’ If their kid’s schedules don’t match up perfectly with yours! On top of that, it’s generally more difficult making friends as a military spouse because… well frankly… everyone is moving. So to have found Jessica so quickly and to have built such a great friendship with her was a MIRACLE!
For those of you who haven’t seen my Instagram stories, Jessica is my running buddy! We go running about 3 times a week and I’m not sure I’ll be able to persevere with out her! And little miss Faith and Autumn are Everett’s park buddies! Everett will not end his evening prayers without asking heavenly father to “Bwess Best Fwend Faif and Autnum”
I can’t tell you the amount of times the Riley’s have been there for us this year (especially since Don deployed). I’m beyond grateful to know such wonderful people and to call them my friends! But I would be a fool to hope that they would stay here in Jacksonville instead of seeing the world! I’m excited for them and this next big journey and wish them the best in this new adventure!
