I have been seriously blessed to have such wonderful friends here in Jacksonville! This is one of those incredible friends! Everyone, meet Jessica! Jessica is probably the most driven mom I know and I love it! She’s always inviting me to come to different events or activities for our kids and she’s always willing to help out and lend a hand! No to mention she is an amazing cook! I’m so excited for her and her family to bring another little girl into this world who will be loved beyond measure!

This session was so unique from how I normally do them! Normally for a maternity session, it’s just me, the mom-to-be and every once in a while her husband or kids if she has any. This session however included me, TWO expecting mothers, and two little boys, one of them being my own! My two best friends here, Jessica and Mackenzie, were both expecting with the SAME due date, which I thought was pretty cool!

Because military life is a bit crazy for everyone and because we usually call on each other to babysit for one another, we thought It would be a good idea to just do their sessions all together! While one was having their pictures taken, the other would watch the kids. And then to make sure each of them got optimal lighting for their photos we would switch back and forth! This actually worked out really well and although I can’t really speak for them, I had a blast! It felt like we were just hanging out at the beach in dresses instead of actually doing any work!

Hanging out with these girls has definitely helped to appreciate motherhood more. They have brought sweet memories back often as I remember back to when I was pregnant 2 years ago this time of year! Big, swollen, and ready to be done after 9 months of carrying him! But now, I get excited to have another little one in the future! I’m grateful for the example Jessica is and how strong of a mother she is! And I can’t wait for her little girl to come! I’m sure she can’t either ;).
