The weather leading up to Ian and Jenna’s engagements was bleak. Rain everyday, and Saturday was no different. As I drove an hour north up to Fort Macon, the weather remained consistent. Windshield wipers stayed on, and my cute white umbrella was on the ready!
But, when we arrived, only a tiny sprinkle remained! I can’t say how many times this has happened to me and each time I’m incredibly grateful! Of course we were completely prepared for rain. A matter of fact, Ian and Jenna were ready to make this a notebook shoot if necessary haha! Luckily we didn’t have to! We had the most PERFECT weather for their session at the beach! We may have been eaten alive by mosquitos (and I mean EATEN ALIVE)! But I think it was well worth it! Apparently I’ve lived in North Carolina for 2 years but I still don’t think to bring bug spray on shoots with me.
I’d only been to Fort Macon once with my family prior to this shoot and I forgot how cool it was! Plus I loved this little inlet for photos because it felt so secluded and out of the way despite the fact that it’s a public state part! Ironic but I’m not complaining!
Ian and Jenna were so cute though! They were bubbly and ready for any prompts or poses I threw their way! With them being one of the first shoots back from Italy, I was eager to pull my camera out and shoot! I absolutely LOVED how funny Jenna was and that her laugh constantly made lan break into laughter! My goal is to always make your session a fun experience! That’s what it should be! It doesn’t have to be a 2 hour long, miserable ordeal! Actually, I think we were only shooting for about a hour! And still got a TON of images!
Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys! I’m a complete weirdo, but I can’t wait to shoot your wedding!
