Sometimes blogging can be rough when you have a toddler and the dishes and laundry never cease to end and Moana is just on a constant repeat therefore causing the songs get stuck in your head day after day. But today, during nap time, I’m finally taking the time to sit down in my sun room, Wendy’s frosty in hand, and blog away! It’s been a little difficult adjusting here in Jacksonville, NC from the move from Utah. Utah was very saturated with marriages and families so business was well. Business has slowed down here, partly because I don’t know anyone, and partly because the Mormon marriage rate isn’t taking over. Nonetheless, I was found by the sweetest couple around.
Halee and Ben.
Halee and Ben met at a young age and dated a little in high school where she broke his heart haha until eventually meeting back up and dating again. They have been together for 3 years this July! Because they just moved into a new condo together and their walls were blank, they decided to call me up for some anniversary photos and I’m so glad that they did! Halee is the smiliest person I’ve met! I couldn’t get over how bubbly and energetic she was! She brought so much life and fun to the session and Ben, bless his heart, didn’t complain about pictures once! Everything I asked of him he would immediately go straight to it even if it involved standing on barnacle covered rocks for 15 minutes! But my favorite thing was seeing the way they felt about each other. From Halee’s bubbly personality I could see the love she had for Ben. And then there was the way Ben would admire Halee as she would turn and laugh. It was all just simply adorable!
Halee found me through Instagram, (hallelujah for social media marketing) and contacted me through my website. She was interested in my style and so we started discussing some of the details for her session.
The session was at Fort Fisher, NC. It was nice because on one hand it had the beach, and on the other, it had these gorgeous entangled trees that we DO NOT have in Utah! We were nervous that it was going to pour on us so I came prepared with umbrellas, but the weather was perfect the whole session, clouds and everything (I love it when that happens). I’m grateful to have met Halee and Ben and would love to work with them for any future events. (;
